Argyle Vases

This pair of lovely Antique Argyle Vases stand at  30cm or 12 inches high. With a beautiful pink poppy design. The stems, leaves and flower edges are raised paste and gold work. The makers mark underneath is "Argyle"I have tried to research the date of when they were made but at this point am unable to tell you, but may be from around the 1900's.

Green Floral Jardiniere

This is one of my favourite Jardinier's.
We purchased it from a lady who's Mum,Aileen purchased
it at the Auction's in the 1960's.
It doesn't have a markers mark but we think
it is from around the 1920's.

Geranium Jardiniere

I was very lucky to find this little gem in an antique store in Oatlands,Tasmania.
We had purchased a side board from the store a year earlier.
We had been looking for a jardiniere to go on the shelf.
On our way to Hobart we stop at Oatlands for a pit stop
and popped into the shop for a quick look and found
this sweet little jardiniere still on a high shelf on it own.
It has hand painted geranium's with gold work on the scrolls.
It doesn't have a markers mark underneath,so I am
unable to tell how old it is.

Grimwades LTD Jardiniere

This sweet little pot is made by Grimwades LTD.of England
and is C1906.
Grimwades pottery was made either at
 Winton Pottery and Elgin Works,Stoke
or the Upper Pottery,Hanley.
I love the embossed decoration of
oak leaves and acorns.
This pot stands at 16cm high
and 18 cm wide.
Has the potters mark as well as the painters underneath.

Alton Ware Jardinière

This is the Jardiniere that started my love of antique
and vintage plant pot's.It is Alton ware.
It belonged to my Grandmother Maud Evelyn Kirkpatrick,
who then passed it onto her daughter
Maria Josephine Milcs.
My Mum then passed it to me in the 1980's.
I now very lucky to have it my possession
It doesn't have a the markers stamp as
when my mother was a small child she climbed onto
the side board where the pot was kept and knocked
it over the edge.
It has been repaired but there is a section
missing from the bottom.
I was very lucky to find a saucer in
the same vain to place beneath it,so the missing section isn't as noticeable.
I have done some research
and actually found a vase with the same
pattern on it.It has a stamp underneath which dated it to
 Circa 1912.
